Single Photograph Submission Guidelines:
Submission deadline: Feb 18, 2018
Photo contest categories are: Wildlife, Landscape, People, and Unknown.
Entrants can submit their original photos in the following manners:
1) Using the Facebook photo contest app on the Raincoast Education Society Facebook page.
2) Using the Instagram tags #capturingthecoast2018 and @raincoasted in an Instagram post. Do not use instagram inbox to enter photos.
3) By emailing your .JPEG files to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will upload them to our online gallery on your behalf.
All photos will be displayed in our online gallery for viewing and voting.
By submitting your photographs to the Capturing the Coast Single Photo Contest, you are allowing the Raincoast Education Society to use your photographs for promotional purposes (i.e. website, posters, etc), with attribution. Photos will not be sold. Photos will not be used by anyone other than the Raincoast Education Society. Photographers maintain ownership of their photos.
There is no limit to how many photos you submit. However, please make sure your photos fit within the contest theme: to inspire people to explore, adventure, and respect the natural world, and highlight the importance of stewardship and conservation across the region.
Entrants who submit to the Single Photograph Contest cannot also submit to the Slideshow Contest.
Single Photograph Contest Details:
All photos will be presented for audience voting in our online gallery.
Category winners will be selected by a judging panel, plus one "People's Choice" winner (the photo with the most votes).
All winners will be announced at the Capturing the Coast event at Shelter Restaurant on Friday, March 2, 2018.
Photographers selected as finalists will be notified at least one week prior to the Capturing the Coast event, and should either be in attendance or have a friend designated to accept the prize for them should they be the winner.
Prizes: Category winners will receive prize packs from local businesses.
