Slideshow Contest

Slideshow Submission Guidelines:

Submission deadline: Feb 18, 2018. Submissions are due by midnight on Feb 18, 2018.

The Capturing the Coast photography contest is designed to celebrate the natural world, people, and unknowns of Vancouver Island's West Coast. Photos entered should inspire people to explore, adventure, and respect the natural world, and highlight the importance of stewardship and conservation across the region.

The Slideshow Contest is geared toward photographers who have a comprehensive portfolio of photographs from the region. All photos used must directly relate to the West Coast of Vancouver Island, but do not necessarily have to be taken within this region. Photos obviously from other regions (eg. a spirit bear) should not be included.

Entrants who submit to the Slideshow Contest cannot also submit to the Single Photo Contest.

How to submit your slideshow:

Submit a slideshow of still photographs (no video) between 3-6 minutes, in .MOV format, set to music.
Please include a credits slide at the end of your slideshow with your name, music credits, and any other credits necessary.

Submissions can be sent to info@raincoasteducation.org via dropbox or WeTransfer. Or, bring your submission to the Raincoast Education Society office in the Ecolodge building of the Tofino Botanical Gardens (1084 Pacific Rim Hwy.).
