Michaela Ermanovics
Michaela has had a heart full of passion for the outdoors since childhood. Growing up in Ontario, Michaela spent countless hours in lakes, rivers and forests. Michaela developed a love for the ocean after a trip to Vancouver Island as a child, and this love inspired her to pursue a degree in biology and ocean sciences at Dalhousie University. Michaela was able to share her passions for science and the outdoors with others as a kayak guide and teaching assistant, something she grew to enjoy very much.
Since then, Michaela’s love for the forest and the ocean has flourished, bringing her all the way to where the two meet unlike anywhere else, Ucluelet. A far cry from the bustling city she grew up in, the tight knit community and striking nature of Ucluelet has become her home.
Michaela is thrilled to continue to share her passions and get youth excited about our environment as a fieldschool coordinator with the Raincoast Education Society. She can be found strolling along the Wild Pacific Trail, running on the beach, and splashing around in the waves, and is always happy to chat and share a laugh.
