Sawyer completed his B.A.&Sc from Quest University Canada in 2018 studying the neurobiology of learning and memory. Since graduating he’s worked as a ski patroller in the interior of BC, as a chartered skipper in Croatia, and an outdoor education leader in Whitehorse.
Sawyer is intrigued by all the different types of brains and intelligence that exist out in the world, and the amazing ways they all work so differently. He finds thinking about the ways octopodes and mycelium and all sorts of other organisms interpret and interact with their environment to be pretty much the coolest thing ever.
In his free time Sawyer likes to read, play guitar, create digital art, paraglide, surf, mountain bike, sail, ski, run, paddle, dance, and whatever else sounds fun. He’s happy to be back out on the west, west coast and excited to have to chance to work with Raincoast this summer.
