Like all other animals, invertebrates have to deal with the challenges of things like finding food, reproducing, and avoiding predators. For marine species living in the intertidal it Is even more daunting, dealing with the stresses of aerial exposure, waves, terrestrial predators, and more. Here we will look at the strange and creative ways in which they approach these tasks, given their bewildering variety of body plans.⁠
