Beaches and Bogs
Goals:
This week with Raincoast Field School we have been exploring how our peninsula’s rocky headlands and beaches were formed, and the resulting sand and clay debris that has lined our coastline and caused bogs to develop! Bogs are a very unique ecosystem that do so much for our planet! Many bogs can be found between Ucluelet and Tofino; we will share why are bogs one of the most unique ecosystems in the area! Lessons are best suited for learners in grades K-7.
